Construction Manager - Monterey, CA
Act as project manager on selected projects that have a
general contractor. Plan, coordinate, and manage the administrative and
fiscal aspects of the design and construction of capital improvement
projects. Oversee the day-to-day operation of construction on site to ensure
sub-contractors are completing work on time, within budget, and according to
applicable compliance standards and regulations.
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years experience in construction, 5 years in a
management role of commercial, public school, institutional or government
building projects. Renovation/remodeling experience preferred. Familiar with
the Public Contract Code, construction contracts and the process of managing
the interface between contractors, designers and the owner. Requires strong
interpersonal and organizational skills. Familiarity with computer
applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with planning and scheduling and the
use of planning schedule software is desired. OSHPD and government
experience preferred.
