Project Manager/Project Architect - Monterey, Santa Cruz &
Clovis, CA
Positions available in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Clovis,
CA. Manage the production of construction documents and specifications for
small to moderate size projects. Provide work direction to Job Captains,
Intern Architects and CAD Drafters regarding project schedule, task
assignment, and technical support. Coordinate resources and consultants and
monitor project schedule and budget to ensure projects are on schedule and
within budget.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field and 4 years
related work experience. Or 10 years related work experience. Related work
experience should consist of experience with managing
residential/commercial/education projects, developing production and
construction documents and specifications, and experience using AutoCAD in
an Architectural environment. 2 years experience supervising a staff.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and
Outlook. Advanced knowledge of California building codes. Ability to develop
relationships with current and prospective clients to generate new business
opportunities. Demonstrated understanding of technical, building code, and
project coordination issues. This includes the ability to coordinate
resources such as staff and consultants. Demonstrated knowledge of
construction methods and materials affecting architectural design;
fundamentals of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering as
they relate to architectural design. Skilled in using computer aided
architectural and drafting tools. Proficiency in establishing and meeting
schedules and budgets, and demonstrated ability to run a profitable project.
Must be team oriented with demonstrated ability to foster positive
relationships. Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, regulatory
agencies or members of the business and general community at large. Ability
to travel to off-site locations. Intermediate proficiency in the use of a
CAD system.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field
and licensed Architect in California is preferred. OSHPD preferred.
