Plumes Farm

On a few acres of land once part of an abandoned Chardonnay vineyard, WRD Principal Henry Ruhnke designed a 3,200-square-foot family home in Carmel Valley as an homage to the region’s historic farmhouse architecture.

While the farmhouse-style ranch draws from classic American traditions, the interiors evoke Provençal charm, featuring elegant proportions, authentic materials, handcrafted linens, and carefully curated, restored antiques—all bathed in warm natural light.
